The Impact of Positive Feedback: My Experience with Adaptability Therapy
Recently, I had the opportunity to share some positive feedback with the team at Adaptability Therapy, a place that has played a crucial role in my journey toward better health. I decided to send an email that highlighted the outstanding work of two of my therapists, Emma West and Katrina Scott, as well as the incredible support provided by the reception staff and the entire team.
In my email, I made sure to CC both Emma and Katrina, expressing my appreciation for their dedication and care. I wanted to acknowledge not only the exceptional service they provide but also the warm and welcoming environment created by everyone at Adaptability Therapy.
On August 16th, I was delighted to receive a truly heartwarming response from Kirstie Hinsley, the Occupational Therapy Lead at Adaptability Therapy. Kirstie’s email was filled with gratitude and appreciation. She thanked me for the informative feedback and mentioned how wonderful it is to hear about the positive impact their therapists have on people’s lives. Kirstie assured me that my feedback would be added to their feedback register and that the therapists would be informed of the great job they are doing.
Here’s a snippet from the lovely email I received from Kirstie:
"I hope you are well. I wanted to thank you for reaching out to provide such informative feedback regarding our therapists. Katrina is a wonderful clinician. It is always lovely to hear how our therapists positively contribute to people’s lives. I am pleased to hear you are happy with the services provided and appreciate the time taken to provide the feedback. This helps us to improve and refine our services. I will ensure that this is added to our feedback register and that the therapists know what a great job they are doing. Have a lovely weekend."

Receiving this email was a truly beautiful moment. It’s not often that feedback is acknowledged in such a thoughtful way, and knowing that my words were appreciated meant a great deal to me. It reinforced the importance of taking the time to recognize and share our appreciation for those who make a difference in our lives.
What made this experience even more special were the personal responses I received from Katrina Scott and Emma West. Katrina, during a phone call, described my feedback as "beautiful," which made me feel incredibly valued. Emma also sent a heartfelt email thanking me for the wonderful feedback, which further highlighted the supportive and caring environment at Adaptability Therapy.
This experience has taught me the power of positive feedback. It not only uplifts those who receive it but also strengthens the connection between clients and their service providers. It fosters an atmosphere of mutual respect and appreciation, ultimately leading to better outcomes for everyone involved.
If you’ve been thinking about giving feedback—whether it’s for a therapist, a customer service representative, or anyone who’s made a positive impact on your life—don’t hesitate. Your words can brighten someone’s day and encourage them to continue doing their best. And in return, you might just find that your appreciation makes a lasting impact.
