My Mental health Update

Hey everyone

i'm putting this out there, fully aware that not everyone might vibe with it, but you know what? Who cares? I want to express a heartfelt thank you to those who've been by my side, supporting me through the ups and downs of my mental health journey.

I'm in a good place—I want to emphasize that I'm not in a dark space or having suicidal thoughts. However, my anxiety has been acting up, and I find myself grappling with a lot on my mind. It's a mix of good and not-so-great things, and for those who care, these are the thoughts I'd share with you.

I recently took on the challenge of applying for the NDIS, and let me tell you, it's been a tough process. The wait to hear back within the next 28 days adds another layer of uncertainty. On the positive side, incorporating gym sessions with my physiotherapist has been a game-changer for my mental well-being. I'm also lucky to have a fantastic psychologist I see every fortnight, and their support means the world to me.

Life is a rollercoaster of mixed emotions, and with the festive season around the corner, it adds an extra layer of complexity. To cope, I might throw myself into work a bit more to keep my mind occupied.

Big shoutout to those customers who brighten my day, asking how I'm doing. Special thanks to cousins Tara and Jackie, who always check in on me. I'm grateful for friends like Brooke, Milkayla, Jaxon, Brandon, and Dominic from my hometown in Tassie—they're the constants in my life. And Mandy, our weekly coffee sessions are a lifeline that carries me through to the weekend.

I cherish the company of unnamed but cherished workmates, and I always look forward to our time together. Last but not least, immense gratitude to my healthcare professionals—Dr. Julie Hall, Eimear O'Brian, George Campbell, Isaiah Snell, and Amelia Moore. Your expertise and care are making a significant impact.

While I have an incredible support system, some days are tougher than others. Please, don't hesitate to shoot me a message if you want to check in. Your time means the world to me.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Appreciate you all.

Luke
